This role ensures reliable operation of critical infrastructure supporting life sciences research and production, while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be adept at troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults and working independently or as part of a team.This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Engineering and is part of the Engineering department located in Torrance, CA and will be an on-site role.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, panels, and circuits.Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including chillers, air handlers, and cleanroom environmental controlsExecute scheduled preventive maintenance for electrical and HVAC equipment and document all maintenance activities in CMMS and ensure timely completion of work orders.The essential requirements of the job include:High school diploma or equivalent2 or more years of experience in electrical and HVAC maintenance, preferably in a life sciences or GMP-regulated environment.Strong knowledge of NEC codes, and safety regulations.Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to lift, move or carry equipment up to 30lbPhenomenex, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
