Chief of Staff to the President, Seramount The Chief of Staff to the President of Seramount is a strategic partner, organizational integrator, and execution leader. The Chief of Staff helps the President focus on the highest-value priorities, translates leadership direction into coordinated action, and strengthens the systems through which Seramount makes decisions, communicates priorities, and delivers results. Working across Seramount’s leadership team and with colleagues throughout EAB, the Chief of Staff will maintain a broad view of the business, lead high-priority cross-functional initiatives, prepare the President for important internal and external engagements, and ensure decisions and commitments are carried through to completion. This person will also play an important role in shaping executive communications, leadership forums, company-wide gatherings, major organizational change efforts, and Seramount’s thoughtful adoption of AI across the organization. The Chief of Staff reports to the President of Seramount and works in close partnership with the President’s Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant leads scheduling, administrative coordination, and day-to-day logistics. The Chief of Staff leads strategic prioritization, executive preparation, decision support, organizational alignment, communications, and follow-through. This hire may be based in Washington, DC or Richmond, VA; this position is also open to remote employment within the continental United States. Primary Responsibilities: Executive Partnership and President’s Office Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the President, providing context, analysis, perspective, and candid counsel on organizational priorities and decisions. Maintain an integrated view of the President’s priorities, helping determine where the President’s involvement will have the greatest organizational impact. Prepare the President for internal and external engagements by developing briefing materials, agendas, talking points, decision prompts, and relevant background information. Partner with the President’s Executive Assistant to protect time for the highest-priority work, and maintain a coordinated flow of information into and out of the President’s office. Represent the President’s office in selected meetings and initiatives, using sound judgment to determine what can be resolved independently, what requires additional stakeholder input, and what should be elevated to the President. Strategy and Cross-Functional Execution Translate Seramount’s strategic priorities into clear plans, milestones, ownership, decision rights, dependencies, and measures of success. Lead high-priority initiatives that span multiple functions and establish appropriate governance and operating structures for strategic initiatives. Identify misalignment, competing assumptions, resource constraints, and cross-functional dependencies early, and work with leaders to develop practical paths forward. Leadership Operations and Decision Support Design and maintain effective operating rhythms for the President and Seramount’s leadership team, including leadership meetings, business reviews, strategic planning sessions, retreats, and company-wide forums. Facilitate selected leadership and cross-functional meetings, helping participants navigate competing perspectives, reach decisions, and establish clear next steps. Identify patterns in partner and market feedback and help leadership consider the implications for Seramount’s products, services, and business strategy. Executive Communications and Change Leadership Draft and refine executive communications on behalf of the President. Develop communication and stakeholder engagement plans for major organizational, operating, and product changes. Thoughtful AI Adoption and Organizational Enablement Partner with leaders and teams to identify opportunities to use AI across Seramount. Translate new AI capabilities into accessible practices, pilots, learning opportunities, and repeatable workflows, and by sharing lessons across teams. Promote responsible adoption by reinforcing expectations for confidentiality, accuracy, bias awareness, transparency, human review, and accountability for decisions and outputs. Culture, Employee Experience, and Company-Wide Engagement Partner with the President and leadership team to strengthen employee understanding of Seramount’s strategy, priorities, business performance, and future direction. Shape All Staff meetings, employee gatherings, and other internal forums that combine business context, employee voice, learning, collaboration, and connection. Gather and synthesize employee feedback into practical recommendations for leaders. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate professional experience in strategy, business operations, management consulting, program or project leadership, executive communications, organizational change, or a related field. Demonstrated experience working directly with a senior executive, C-suite leader, or executive leadership team. Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and shared ownership. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and write clearly for executive and employee audiences. Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills, with the confidence to guide senior leaders toward decisions, ownership, and next steps. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain discretion, and handle sensitive executive, organizational, partner, and personnel-related information appropriately. Ability to build strong working relationships and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority. Willingness to travel periodically (up to 10%) and provide flexibility outside standard business hours when urgent executive, event, travel, or organizational needs arise. Ideal Qualifications: Experience in a professional services, research, advisory, technology, subscription-based, talent, human resources, or business-to-business organization. Experience designing leadership operating rhythms, strategic planning processes, governance models, decision frameworks, or accountability systems. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing organizational change and stakeholder communication strategies. Strong business and commercial acumen, including an understanding of revenue, partner relationships, product strategy, organizational performance, and resource tradeoffs. Analytical thinking skills and the ability to use quantitative and qualitative information to identify patterns, assess risk, and recommend action. Demonstrated comfort using AI, data, project-management, and collaboration tools, along with the ability to evaluate outputs critically, protect confidential information, and help others adopt new tools thoughtfully. Compensation: The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $72,000 - $102,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role. This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
