About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of promoting educational excellence and supporting local school governance. The successful candidate will serve as the chief executive, working in close partnership with the Board of Directors to advance the organization's strategic vision and ensure its position as a trusted, nonpartisan voice for public education. Key responsibilities include strategic and enterprise leadership, business operations, and fostering a high-performing, mission-driven culture. The role demands a politically astute, relationship-oriented executive with a deep understanding of public education and school governance, particularly within the Texas landscape. The Executive Director will be expected to lead the development and execution of the strategic plan, guide the implementation of initiatives that enhance member value, and provide executive oversight of the organization's diverse portfolio. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a proven track record of executive leadership in complex, multi-entity organizations, with strong business and financial acumen. The role requires a leader with exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, capable of engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, including boards, policymakers, educators, and community leaders. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a relevant Master's or advanced degree being a plus.
