The Slitter Operator plays a crucial role in manufacturing by managing the slitting process of plastic films and paper materials. Working primarily on the day shift within small to medium-sized production teams, the operator ensures precise cutting, maintains equipment, and upholds strict safety standards to meet production quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate slitting machines to cut plastic films and paper accurately
- Set up and adjust equipment for optimal slitting performance
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
- Conduct quality inspections of slit materials
- Handle materials safely and efficiently during production
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
