- Prepare legal documents, memoranda, and correspondence from draft or dictated text
- Generate pleadings and briefs with advanced Word formatting: TOC, TOA, cross-references, and Track Changes
- Create, edit, format, and proofread documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Convert PDF files to Word, cleaning up and reformatting as needed
- Manage workflow and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Calendar critical deadlines and ensure accurate date calculations
- Mentor less experienced legal assistants
- 4+ years of legal assistant experience - must have a strong foundation in legal document preparation, calendaring, deadline management, and attorney support across one or more practice areas
- Advanced Word skills for legal documents, including TOC, TOA, cross-references, and Track Changes
- Comfortable in a team-based attorney support model, not a traditional one-to-one setup
- Genuinely enjoys mentoring less experienced teammates
- Experience transcribing from dictation or audio recordings
- Comfortable managing bar and court admissions and tracking attorney CLE
