Who We Are Our client has a collection of technical newsletters on startups, software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, marketing, product management, and more, with over 6 million subscribers.
Their mission is to build the paper of record for the tech industry, the trusted source that people who work in tech rely on to inform them about important trends and developments.
About the Role Own a target account list and develop account plans for winning and expanding business with enterprise companies and marketing agencies.
Lead complex negotiations with target enterprise companies and marketing agencies.
Develop prospecting and outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities.
Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process.
About You 2+ years of B2B sales experience in a quota-carrying closer role with a track record of top performance in the media industry .
Proven ability to close deals and previous performance as a top performer on your team.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced collaborative environment.
Existing relationships with marketers and B2B marketing agencies are a big plus.

Youre not a good fit for this role if you: Have only worked in B2B SaaS and have no media sales experience. This is business critical.
Rely solely on BDRs to build pipeline. You will need to outline your prospecting approach.
Enjoy large teams and the in-person group feeling at work. We are a remote company.
Are not a top performer in a lean sales team. We will ask where youre ranked.
Have limited knowledge or experience of the tech ecosystem. We will ask about it.
