Location 2901 14th St. NW,Washington, DC, 20009,United States Base Pay $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 / Year Employee Type FT Exempt Required Degree 4 Year Degree Associate Program Director – Family Wellness General Summary GWUL is offering a Family Work & Wellness Accelerator Program designed to assist approximately 300 families who experienced homelessness and recently exited a rapid rehousing program. The Accelerator provides critical services in career advancement, financial empowerment, family support, and housing stabilization. The program is developed in partnership with FHI 360 and Functional Family Therapy (FFT) LLC to provide an integrated solution for career navigation and coaching services that put the voices of participating families at the center of design, care, and support. The Associate Program Director is responsible for overseeing the daily program operations, and supports the Clinical Director with program planning and implementation activities, as follows: serves as the primary point of contact for coordinating the curriculum offerings (trainings, support groups, healing circles etc.) for families participating in the program; supports the design of the program operating model, hiring, training, onboarding and performance management of staff serving on the program. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the grant requirements, will assist in preparing periodic reports, and participate in stakeholder meetings as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the daily program operations; troubleshoot all issues pertaining to scheduling trainings or other program specific offerings; work with staff to remove barriers for families participating in the program, including distributing emergency financial assistance funds. Supervise a staff of 15 in the use of Functional Family Therapy Case Management model and motivational interviewing to engage and retain participants in services. Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating the Family Work & Wellness Accelerator curriculum offerings for families participating in the program. Work with the partnering organizations to develop the training schedule and support families in troubleshooting issues around participation. Manage the Permanent Supportive Housing and Targeted Affordable Housing matching process in coordination with DC Department of Human Services for selected program participants Ensure timely and accurate data recording of direct reports through all required platforms (Quickbase, Apricot, HMIS, CSS, etc.) and documentation formats (case notes, UIR, Housing Stabilization, Career Mobility Action Plans, Assessments) per contract requirements and program policy and procedure. Support the Center Director and Clinical Program Director in the development and continuous improvement of program processes and strategies such as participant relocation, emergency funds distribution, Functional Family Therapy case management integration, program participant engagement ect. Demonstrate empathy and flexibility in responding to participant needs and engages in creative conflict resolution and crisis de-escalation to support participants Support the Clinical Director in assessing staff training needs, providing in-service training, and promoting staff development to ensure staff have core case management competencies. Attend weekly group case consultation with staff; ensure that staff documents all services provided to participating families in a timely fashion; design and implement quality assurance processes. Support the Clinical Director in assessing the services’ effectiveness and efficacy; support the development of a community blueprint that will bring together key stakeholders in the District of Columbia to support the families participating in the program. Monitor compliance with all grant requirements; prepare periodic programmatic reports for the funding entity and coordinate & schedule stakeholder meetings as needed. Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations of complaints or challenges experienced by families participating in the program. Manage and periodically review the program caseload and staff to participant matching. Including but not limited to participant non-compliance, opt-out, or transfers and maintain protocol and adhere to DHS guidelines. Conduct monthly individual staff supervision and complete required monthly supervision reporting Support the cultivation of a supportive, compassionate, high-achieving, inclusive, and culturally affirming work environment. Must be able to personally identify with the lived experiences of our primary constituents and clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or closely related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant program management experience in a similar role; ideally in homeless services. 5 years of program management experience; previous supervisory case management experience preferred Strong mental health and emotional support background and knowledge Professional DC or MD clinical license LMSW, LCSW, CASAC, LMHC, LCADC strongly preferred Must be authorized to work in the United States; Must successfully complete a criminal background investigation; Knowledge of case management systems such as Quickbase, HMIS, Apricot, CSS preferred Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) Strong leadership, staff management, and team-building skills Strong working knowledge of homeless programs, case management services for vulnerable populations, such as individuals and families at risk of homelessness; Strong verbal and written communication skills; leadership and team building skills are a must.
