Role Description The Sr Sales Executive is a full-time remote role responsible for driving new business and expanding relationships with existing shippers in temperature-critical, oversized, and high-value freight segments. Day-to-day work includes prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting consultative sales calls, preparing and presenting tailored proposals, and negotiating pricing and terms. The role involves collaborating with operations and carrier teams to ensure solutions are feasible, profitable, and aligned with customer expectations. The Sr Sales Executive regularly analyzes market trends, customer performance, and lane data to identify opportunities for growth and optimization. This role also focuses on maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasting revenue, and representing Balto Logistics’ brand and values in all customer interactions.\n
Qualifications

• Proven experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales, with a focus on complex or specialized freight (temperature-controlled, oversized, or high-value).

• Strong skills in consultative selling, relationship management, and negotiation to develop and maintain long-term customer partnerships.

• Ability to analyze freight markets, pricing, and customer data to identify opportunities and create effective solutions.
\n
• Proficiency with CRM systems and standard productivity tools to manage pipelines, track activities, and forecast revenue.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present solutions and explain logistics concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
\n
• Demonstrated self-motivation, accountability, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
\n
• Experience coordinating with operations and carrier partners to ensure service quality and execution of customer commitments.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
\n
• Prior success achieving or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment; experience with strategic or enterprise accounts is highly beneficial.
