Our client is a growing manufacturing organization looking to add a Senior Accountant to its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who has developed a strong foundation in public accounting and/or industry and is ready to take on greater responsibility, broader exposure, and a more meaningful role within the business.

The ideal Sr Accountant candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, a hands-on approach, and an interest in understanding how accounting and financial results connect to manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do as Sr Accountant

• Manage and support key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial schedules
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports
• Perform account analysis and investigate variances and unusual activity
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting activities, including analysis of manufacturing costs and variances
• Partner with operations and other departments to understand financial results and identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Help maintain strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and efficiency
• Assist with special projects and other financial initiatives as the business continues to grow
• Serve as a resource to other members of the accounting team and contribute to a collaborative team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years progressive accounting experience in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Cost accounting, inventory accounting, or standard costing experience is a plus
