PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Test Technician reports directly to the Operations Manager, responsible to perform test to evaluate the function and performance of products and equipment.  He/She interpret quality standards, engineering diagrams and product specifications, then execute tests accordingly.  He/She also troubleshoot and repair failures and defects.  Work with the Test Engineer to perform process developmental and materials testing, collect and record data, prepare samples for study and issue reports based on the research.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This position will be responsible for engineering and manufacturing projects

that will include  but not limited to:

·       Test equipment realization, set-up and validation, asset tag assignment, calibration planning.

·       Validating test requirements and times for quoting.

·       Responsible to ensure collection of pass/fail test data

·       Help debug units that failed functional test  

·       Solution provider for test equipment failures, improvements, enhancements, or gaps

·       Work with test engineer and production to provide trouble shooting guide for operators

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

EDUCATION: 

·       High School Diploma and relevant experience required; AA degree preferred           

·       Minimum 5 years experience supporting Test operation and Equipment

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE:

·       Experience and knowledge in electronic industry preferred.  Familiar with testing tools and testing software's

·       Need to know how to read and understand schematics and customer’s test procedures

 

JOB COMPLEXITY:

·       Works on jobs that are complex in nature.

·       Good judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Flexible hours.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

·       No Supervision needed.

 

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

·       Moderate physical effort required.

 

MENTAL EFFORT:

·       Requires good reading, writing and frequent analysis, judgment and decision making effort.

·       Has a good communication

 

EQUIPMENT:

·       Requires the use of a computer, test equipment and customer equipment.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·       Requires frequent interaction with different Department, Program Manager Quality and other Engineers
