Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute‑care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. Additional Information About the Role Wound Care Center Full‑time days 4–10 hour shifts 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. No weekends, on‑call or holidays Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance and in professional development. Develops, implements and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team. Plans and communicates the care plan across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural and population‑specific needs. Maintains constant alertness and works safely in a safety‑sensitive environment. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma / Associate’s degree in Nursing. Experience: No prior experience required. Licenses and Certifications: Current RN license. Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Previous wound care experience preferred.
