Accounting Manager

Position Summary The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing the monthly close process, maintaining accurate financial reporting, and partnering with leadership on budgeting and forecasting activities. This is a highly visible position that works closely with Finance, FP&A, and Operations leadership to provide meaningful financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Partner closely with the FP&A team on annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership regarding trends, risks, and opportunities. Support operational leaders by providing financial data and business analysis to improve performance and profitability. Assist in developing and improving accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls. Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit activities. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and special projects as the company grows. Mentor and develop accounting staff and contribute to building a scalable finance organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
