Position Overview Position: Intensivist (Full-time) Work Location: UPMC Hamot, 201 State Street, Erie, PA 16550. Work Hours: Flexible 15 shifts per month (mixed days and nights, ≤5 nights per month). Job Description UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time Intensivist to join its hospital-based adult critical care practice. The role involves delivering advanced, team-based care to critically ill adult patients across multiple ICU units, including Beacon Units (Silver and Gold). The setting includes a 64-bed critical care tower equipped with advanced technology such as point-of-care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bedside bronchoscopy, prone positioning, and the ability to initiate ECMO followed by transfer to a quaternary center. Modern radiology suite with 3T MRI and patient-centered layout. Opportunity to teach emergency medicine and neurology residents. Qualifications MD/DO from an accredited medical school. Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion. Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion. Open to recent fellowship-trained physicians. American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine. Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and necessary credentials, DEA certification.
