Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience teaching or supporting high school students in inclusive or self-contained classrooms
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, families, and educational teams
- Adaptability and commitment to fostering a welcoming, encouraging learning environment
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
- Develop and implement strategies to support academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure holistic support
- Maintain clear, ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing professional development
- Create an inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and encourages student self-advocacy
- Employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
