WAREHOUSE REPRESENTATIVE

Parts Warehouse RepresentativePerforms needed shipping and receiving tasks in the parts warehouse.Essential DutiesPlace daily parts orders, runs paperwork needed to check in stock and special-order parts every morning.Stock and post incoming orders, separates stock and special-order parts.Assist Parts Manager in processing weekly stock orders.Update electronic parts files.Sends and receives parts, letters, and packages for the dealership.Prints special order tags daily and tags special order parts to distribute to the counterman that ordered them.Posts parts throughout the day.Provide necessary information to the warranty department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties.Return parts as needed and remove from inventory after credit is received.Assist in preparing for and performing annual parts inventory.Crate all cores for shipment.Assists in dispatching the parts delivery drivers.Maintains the parts warehouse.Loads and unloads delivery and freight trucks.Operates forklift. Logs incoming and outgoing items.Performs additional duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Valid Driver's LicensePhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and high, precarious places.
