- Conduct legal, statistical, documentary research using software, social media, etc.
- Draft legal documents, correspondence and pleadings
- Compile and summarize depositions, medical/employment records, discovery and testimony
- Assist attorney in preparation for hearings, depositions and trials
- Schedule Depositions
- Draft and revise pleadings, file with courts
- Consult with clients and maintain confidentiality of client matters
- Manage billable time to meet billable hours goal
- Bill according to client's billing compliance guidelines
- Manage attorney calendar
Skills/Qualifications: Ability and desire to work as a member of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; transcription; documentation; knowledge of legal documents and terminology; accurate typing speed of 50 wpm, working collaboratively with attorneys, staff and clients; organization and multitasking, superior written and verbal communication skills. Mature, assertive, professional demeanor. Ability to maintain strict confidence. Requirements Education & Experience: Associates degree or certification in paralegal studies. 3 - 5 years' experience as litigation paralegal Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Remain in a stationary position 50 - 75% of the time Drive an automobile Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer Frequently communicates with clients, staff and other, outside personnel by phone and in person Lift and carry boxes of documents weighing up to 30 pounds Full-time Position
