Description

The Internet Automotive Sales Specialist drives dealership revenue by converting digital leads, social media inquiries, and web traffic into scheduled dealership appointments and completed vehicle sales. This role modernizes traditional automotive sales through high-velocity CRM management, mandatory personalized video messaging for every customer inquiry, and an ultra-fast response standard of under 3 minutes.

• Ultra-Fast Response: Guarantee initial contact with incoming internet leads (website forms, third-party portals like CarGurus/Autotrader, social DMs, and live chat) within 3 minutes of receipt.

• Pipeline Management: Maintain structured follow-up cadences within the dealership CRM (Dealer Socket, Ignite Ups, Apollo, Autohub), ensuring all customer contacts, notes, and tasks are updated daily.

• Consultative Guidance: Assist online shoppers with vehicle specs, pricing breakdowns, trade-in valuations, and financing pre-approvals.

• Aggressive Appointment Setting: Convert 60% of contacted customers into confirmed showroom test-drive appointments or home-delivery arrangements.

• Direct Sale: Conduct in-person vehicle presentations, test drives, and sales negotiations.

• Sales Conversion Rate12% – 15% total lead-to-close ratio

• Universal Video Process: Send custom video messages to 100% of leads as standard operating procedure—introducing yourself, confirming inventory availability, and walking around specific vehicles.

• Tailored Walkarounds: Highlight specific features, options, and vehicle conditions tailored directly to questions asked in the customer's initial inquiry using platforms like Trade Pending

• Relationship & Trust: Utilize video clips for follow-up touch points, appointment confirmations, and post-purchase thank-yous to build immediate rapport before the customer sets foot on the lot.

• Content Creation: Produce organic content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) featuring new inventory arrivals, vehicle delivery photos, customer testimonials, and quick vehicle tips.

• Marketplace & Group Listing: Post select used and new inventory on local channels like Facebook Marketplace and regional automotive groups to drive organic, direct-message leads.

• Lead Conversion: Actively monitor direct messages and comments across social channels, transitioning casual inquiries into formal CRM contacts and showroom appointments.

• Direct Sale: Conduct in-person vehicle presentations, test drives, and sales negotiations.

• Post-Sale Engagement: Maintain post-sale contact to secure positive online reviews, drive referral business, and track lease/financing renewals.

• Experience: 1+ years in automotive sales or BDC/internet sales.

• Camera Confidence: Exceptional ability to communicate naturally on camera for required video emails, video text messages, and social media reels.

• Quota-Driven Focus: Highly motivated to hit individual quotas to unlock performance bonuses and incentives.

• Speed & Discipline: Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a focus on immediate response times and continuous process compliance.

• Social Media Savvy: Demonstrable skill in managing professional business pages, posting engaging short-form video content, and managing direct-message pipelines.

• Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with dealership CRM systems, video messaging software, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.

• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
