Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for assigned Med Surg patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Collect relevant data, assess health status, and identify care needs; develop and implement a care plan with appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, monitor patient responses, and provide wound care as ordered.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team; promote safe environments, infection control, and patient safety.
• Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes; participate in discharge planning and transitions of care; educate patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff while ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record (Epic) and maintaining high standards of professional practice.

Requirements

• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license active in California (state of practice)
• Certifications: CPR/BLS required; ACLS and PALS required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a healthcare field; acute care experience preferred
• Education: BSN preferred
• Skills: EPIC experience required; Cerner experience not required but noted if applicable
• Other: Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting; strong collaboration, communication, and critical-thinking skills
