About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Financial Reporting to join their team. This leadership role is pivotal in the company's financial reporting strategy, regulatory compliance, and executive decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all external financial reporting activities, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of statutory and GAAP financial statements, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include leading the preparation and review of financial statements, managing relationships with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders, and driving process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and internal controls. Applicants for this role at The Company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, a CPA certification, and a minimum of 10 years' of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience within the property and casualty insurance industry. Deep knowledge of statutory accounting principles and GAAP reporting, as well as experience in preparing and reviewing NAIC statutory filings, is essential. The role also requires prior leadership experience in managing and developing financial reporting teams, a strong understanding of internal controls and external audit processes, and exceptional communication skills for interaction with executive leadership. Experience in leading process improvement or finance transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
