Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.90 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:15 AM - 04:15 PMTue07:15 AM - 04:15 PMWed07:15 AM - 04:15 PMThur07:15 AM - 04:15 PMFri07:15 AM - 04:15 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Screen entrants, personal property, and permitted items in accordance with site procedures, using screening equipment and manual inspection methods when appropriate. Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, directing foot traffic, and communicating access requirements in a professional manner. Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and notifying site contacts when needed. Support routine security-related presence throughout assigned areas by observing conditions, reporting unusual activity, and following post orders and/or special instructions. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred. X-Ray screening experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
