Food Service Manager, $3000 Sign On Bonus

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for menu preparation.

2. Compliance with local and state DPH's (Department of Public Health) mandates.

3. Responsible for cleanliness and appropriate storage of all equipment and the proper handling, serving, and

storage of all foods.

4. Ensure kitchen cleanliness by developing and adhering to routine cleaning schedule.

5. Actively employ and monitor safeguards for operation's well-being.

6. Provide leadership, direction and vision for the food services department.

7. Maintain records and organization of reports in connection with food service programs as required by

Administrator, long-term and/or retirement community and state and federal regulations.

8. Maintain appropriate staffing levels in accordance with mandates while adhering to budgetary strategies.

9. Plan, purchase and maintain all food / drink commodities.

10. Mentor and evaluate food service staff according to facility guidelines.

11. Coordinate the use of food service facilities/equipment for facility related events.

12. Obtain bids from vendors for the procurement of food, equipment and services needed for the department and

make recommendations regarding which bids/proposals are in the overall best interest of the facility.

13. Manage weekly payroll reporting.

14. Ensure that all dietary staff are held to a standard of excellence, customer satisfaction and skills in the

preparation and delivery of all food-related items.

15. Utilize culinary skills to adequately represent the facility/organization at all marketing events, either within

the organization or external.

16. Ensure that Customer Satisfaction responses regarding Quality of Meals are achieving the stated thresholds as

stated by Facility Administrator.

17. Maintain Safe Food Handling certification records on all dietary staff.

18. Completes any other administrative type duties the Administrator deems appropriate. Performs other related

duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary by Administrator / Director.
