Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with our Medical Director and medical staff to ensure holistic mental health treatment is integrated into all patient care protocols.

• Design and conduct in-service training for medical, psychiatric, and security personnel, fostering a better understanding of mental health issues and management practices.
\n
• Effectively intervene in mental health crises, applying de-escalation techniques and offering immediate support to impacted individuals.
\n
• Attend commitment hearings and represent the organization as per contractual agreements, providing professional testimony when required.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans, setting measurable goals for patients and adapting strategies based on progress and feedback.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions and treatment sessions to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Safeguard the confidentiality of medical records while rigorously verifying past patient mental health histories, including any prescribed psychotropic medications.
\n
• Prepare detailed reports for treatment outcomes and special circumstances as necessary.
\n
• Work collaboratively with nursing and mental health staff to facilitate post-release referrals, ensuring continuity of care and support for patients transitioning back to the community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical context is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
