Job Description Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist Full-Time opportunity in San Antonio, Texas Schedule: 4 days a week Why Join MissionVet Specialty & Emergency MissionVet is seeking a third board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internist to join our established Internal Medicine service. You'll work alongside an experienced specialty team and have the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload while collaborating closely with Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Critical Care, and Emergency Medicine. You'll practice in a 13,000-square-foot specialty and emergency hospital with 5 operating rooms, 13 exam rooms, multiple procedure rooms, and advanced diagnostic capabilities including a 1.5T MRI, 16-slice CT, C-arm fluoroscopy, advanced ultrasound, and state-of-the-art endoscopy. Perform advanced diagnostic evaluations and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Work closely with Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Critical Care, and Emergency Medicine. Utilize advanced diagnostic capabilities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and endoscopy. Collaborate with referring veterinarians throughout San Antonio and South and West Texas. Participate in case consultation, mentorship, and multidisciplinary rounds. Contribute to the continued growth and development of MissionVet's Internal Medicine service. Participate in continuing education and stay current with advances in veterinary medicine. Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients while providing exceptional patient care. Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning. What You Bring DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure. Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Residency Trained in Internal Medicine. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with a commitment to exceptional patient care. Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
