Groundskeeper II – Street Sweeper Facilities Management Services – Building Services: Landscape & Grounds Maintenance Location: Atlanta Campus (subject to change) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 am – 12:30 pm (shift subject to change) Salary: $32,400 – $38,900 annually ($15.57 – $18.70 per hour) Benefits Flexible work environment Generous benefits including health, dental, vision, tuition assistance, and retirement Professional development and mentorship opportunities Knowledge-sharing organization in an academic setting Responsibilities Maintain campus grounds: mowing lawns, watering flowers and shrubbery, trimming trees and bushes, raking leaves Walk assigned campus area, collecting and removing trash Plant trees, flowers, and bushes Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides to lawns, shrubs, and trees Operate groundskeeping equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers, pressure washers, etc.) to clean fountains, outdoor furniture, and other areas Maintain groundskeeping and landscaping equipment (lawnmowers, spreaders, snow removal equipment) Sharpen tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears Assist in plant setups for special meetings and events Assist with inclement weather duties (e.g., clearing snow from sidewalks and parking lots) Perform other related duties as assigned Lead work groups and train/orient Groundskeeper I employees on methods and procedures Operate various types of vehicles, including ATVs, golf carts, LSVs, light‑duty pickup trucks, medium‑duty trucks, box trucks, and trailers Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and at least one year of groundskeeping experience Valid Georgia driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of plant, tree, and shrubbery care Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in groundskeeping Ability to operate a motor vehicle Experience in landscaping, particularly large‑scale projects College/Business Unit: Facilities Management Services #J-18808-Ljbffr Inside Higher Ed
