Custodian II (26000725) Facilities Management Services – Building Services Admin & Sup. Salary: Competitive salary of $32,400 - $38,900 per year ($15.57 – $18.70 an hour). Schedule: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (shift subject to change). Campus Location: Atlanta. Cleans and performs room set‑ups in assigned building areas following established routines and procedures. Completes tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, restoring, buffing, waxing floors, vacuuming, removing trash, cleaning counters, equipment, furnishings, restrooms, labs, office areas, classrooms, and other assigned areas. Sets up chairs, tables, and equipment in classrooms, meeting rooms, and public areas. Handles emergency clean‑ups and other related work as needed. Physical requirements: able to bend, twist, reach overhead, push and pull floor equipment, push and pull large trash barrels, lift full trash bags weighing up to 30 lbs. Must possess a normal degree of dexterity and floor technician experience. Safety: Employees will use cleaning chemicals daily and may work near potentially dangerous materials in certain laboratories. Qualifications Minimum: High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience in an institutional, industrial, or commercial setting. Must be able to lift approximately 30-50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Ability to perform heavy lifting when required. Some knowledge of custodial service practices, techniques, and procedures. Six months of experience using powered cleaning equipment and restoring floors. Experience serving as a lead person on a cleaning team. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in institutional, industrial, or commercial settings. Physical ability to perform manual work for an extended period of time. Completion of a documented formal training in a facilities course. Employment Conditions Pay Grade: 13. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Job Type: Full Time (Benefits Eligible).
