Department/Unit: Labor and Delivery

Salary Range: $40 to $65 per hour

Shift: Day Shift (48 hours per week preferred)

Duration: 12 weeks (Contract)

Job Description

Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit in Hanford, California. This role is vital for providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients throughout labor and delivery, ensuring optimal care and safety.
Provide support during the labor process, including administering medications and pain relief options.
Collaborate with obstetricians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized birth plans.
Circulate and recover patients in the operating room as needed for cesarean sections.
Float to postpartum couplet care to provide comprehensive care to mothers and their newborns.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
Minimum of [insert years] years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred.
Certifications required:
AWHONN
Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
