Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: California

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients. The role requires proficiency in fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy management, and assisting with C-sections and vaginal deliveries.

Responsibilities:

Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal well-being in high-risk pregnancies.
Assist in vaginal deliveries and perform C-section circulating duties.
Float to postpartum care as needed, including couplet care for mother and newborn.
Provide support and education to patients and families regarding labor and delivery processes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
Current California RN license required.
Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM (NCC EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN).
Experience with Epic charting system is essential.
