Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Summary: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installation, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations on site at Scott City, Missouri. This role is critical in supporting production through preventative maintenance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring equipment is calibrated and functioning to specification. The key metrics of success are summarized by SQDEP+. Safety, Quality, Delivery, Equipment, and Productivity. The (+) represents non-tangible and/or environmental attributes that are difficult to measure such as employee engagement, organization wide culture, and other similar impactful elements of a healthy work culture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. The Maintenance Technician may oversee improvement or repair initiatives both in collaboration with other business leaders, or independently as the sole advocate. Essential Duties and Responsibilities are, but not limited to:Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and systems to ensure reliable operation and achievement of production goals.Perform preventative maintenance, safety checks, and inspections to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation of production equipment. Diagnose equipment malfunctions by observing machine operation, conducting tests, and analyzing performance data routinely. Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery; remove, replace, or fabricate defective parts as needed to ensure optimal performance. Install and calibrate new production equipment, adjusting to meet operational requirements while complying with safety and quality standards.Upkeep HVAC, plumbing, and building facilities to guarantee functionality.Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and communication, to facilitate effective maintenance and knowledge transfer.Be a part of a continuous improvement culture by identifying wastes and improving maintenance processes and techniques. Proactively communicate activities to each affected department leader and complete tasks with minimal interruption. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.Prior experience in maintenance, facilities, or related field.Experience in a manufacturing production environment is preferred.Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understanding of industrial equipment and their application in a production environment. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues. Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA requirements.Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Professional presentation and can-do attitude. Time management skills with ability to complete jobs in a timely manner.Physical Demands:Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking 8-10 hours depending on the task. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach up to 50lbs. at a time. The use of approved Safety Glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots are required. Gloves and other PPE may be required depending on certain tasks assigned.
