Human Resources Manager

LHH is seeking an HR professional for a direct hire opportunity with our client in DC. The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic partner, providing consultative support to leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, organizational effectiveness, performance management, compensation, and employee engagement. This role partners closely with leadership to align people strategies with business objectives while fostering a positive employee experience and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to develop and execute talent, workforce planning, succession, and organizational strategies.
• Advise managers on employee relations matters, performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Support compensation programs, including salary recommendations, market analyses, promotions, and annual planning.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and organizational change efforts.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Recommend and implement HR programs, processes, and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and the employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required;
  HR certification preferred.
• 6-8+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent management, compensation, and organizational consulting.
• Experience supporting leaders in professional services, legal, consulting, or similarly complex environments preferred.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office;
  Workday experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
