Senior Consultant, Client HR Services

The Senior Consultant, Client HR Services is responsible for leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of HR services with engaged prospects and clients. The Senior Consultant, Client HR Services focuses on creating tailored, client-specific recommendations that support the overall business goals of the client. This position will utilize market knowledge and experience, internal resources, and tools to deploy a consultative approach. This role supports current and future clients by providing proactive and reactive HR and Compliance assistance based on the prescribed engagement arrangement with the client.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Advise in resolving HR and Compliance related client issuesConduct audits of client’s human resource activities and provides guidance on compliance with laws, policies and procedures as requestedAnalyzes, designs, and integrates customized HR strategies and solutions within the client’s culture and benefit offerings as a means of improving the employer/employee relationshipProvide HR and Compliance advice for the client’s full employee life cycle policies and processes by providing best practices in the following areas including knowing when to engage an attorney or legal resources.Talent Acquisition including employer brand and recruitment marketingOnboardingEmployee relations- issues and concernsEmployee engagementPerformance Management & DisciplineTermination/OffboardingTotal RewardsLearning and DevelopmentLeave and Absence ManagementStrategic HR Business planHR and Compliance projectsGeneral complianceMaintain a deep understanding of HR related advancements, technology, market and vendor changes, and innovative solutions.Act as the client liaison with these vendor partners by guiding clients to these resources for self-help and continuing this effort until the client is consistently going direct to these vendors.Collaborate with the EBG advisors and the service teams to deliver vanguard HR solutions leveraging partner-provided resourcesAssess need for resources ongoing with Senior Director of Sales, Employee Benefits based on growthParticipate in or lead trainings for clients and internal EB and HR team on topical HR and Compliance issues.Participates in prospective client presentationAssist in the growth of new business revenue relative to HR ServicesPrepare client communications in collaboration with Business DevelopmentDemonstrates HR thought leadership through education, research, writing and speakingMaintain appropriate documentation of interactions with clients using defined systemsAssist with development and implementation of training initiatives for EB and HR, as neededKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Proven ability to work with individuals effectively and respectfully at varying levels within an organization; demonstrated skill in building constructive relationshipsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong time management skillsStrong teamwork / collaborative skills a mustExperience monitoring and maintaining compliance with policies and proceduresAbility to identify opportunities for improvement and the initiative to contribute to those changesExcellent communication skills, including influencing othersAbility to formulate policy and develop and implement new strategies and proceduresAbility to always maintain a high level of confidentialityAgile – able to switch directions quicklyAbility to organize day and prioritize multiple projects / responsibilitiesProactive with personal development and learning including keeping up with industry and regulationsIntermediate to advanced software expertise (Excel, Word, PP, etc.)Professionally handles conflict and difficult client interactionsDemonstrates organization’s behavioral business and core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the organization’s cultureEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree required8-10 years HR experience, at the management level or above or proven experience as an HR ConsultantDemonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge of HR and ComplianceExperience with a variety of clients- size, industryExperience with Multiple Payroll/HRIS systemsOTHER:Ability to successfully operate and thrive in a fast-paced environmentProfessional appearance and demeanorTravel required for client visitsStarting pay $90,000+; negotiable at offer.IMPORTANT NOTICE:This position description is intended to describe the level of work required of the person performing in the role and is not a contract.
