Master Scheduler

Crestview Aerospace is a manufacturing organization working closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and several others to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to print assemblies. Crestview Aerospace provides these assemblies in support of in-service platforms, such as: H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Crestview Aerospace is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, and employs approximately 350 professionals.

Essential Job Functions

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Master Scheduler owns the enterprise-wide Master Production Schedule (MPS) for a complex aerospace metallics manufacturing and assembly facility. This role aligns customer demand, contractual commitments, production capacity, material readiness, and business priorities to drive on time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and predictable execution.

Working across Operations, Program Management, Contracts, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Finance, the Master Scheduler converts demand into executable plans across warehousing issuance, machining, fabrication, processing, assembly, inspection, and shipping.

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Master Production Scheduling

• Develop, maintain, and communicate the integrated Master Production Schedule across all manufacturing and assembly areas.
• Convert customer contract demand requirements, forecasts, and sales orders into executable production priorities.
• Balance production loading with available labor, equipment, tooling, materials, and holistic capacity requirements.
• Monitor schedule adherence, identify risks, and coordinate corrective actions to protect customer delivery and shipment objectives.

Integrated Planning and Operations

• Support the SIOP/S&OP process in partnership with business leadership.
• Coordinate demand, production, inventory, and resource plans across immediate and long-range planning horizons.
• Monitor capacity constraints and recommend staffing, equipment, outsourcing, or expansion actions when needed.
• Support executable plans for new program launches, engineering changes, and production transfers.

Aerospace Manufacturing Execution

• Synchronize schedules across warehousing issuance, CNC machining, metallic fabrication, forming, welding, special processing, heat treat, finishing, paint, subassembly, final assembly, quality inspection, and shipping.
• Coordinate priorities for customer production line, flight-critical, and customer-controlled products.
• Monitor WIP, throughput, and flow constraints to support lean manufacturing and continuous flow objectives.

Customer Delivery and Program Support

• Partner with Program Management and Contracts to achieve contractual delivery commitments.
• Evaluate schedule impacts from customer changes, engineering revisions, material shortages, or production disruptions.
• Communicate schedule risks, recovery plans, and delivery status to leadership and customers as appropriate.
• Support customer meetings, delivery reviews, and operational planning discussions.

Material Management Support

• Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to ensure material readiness supports the production plan.
• Improve ERP/MRP systems material planning accuracy to support customer delivery needs.

Performance Management and Analytics

• Establish and report planning and scheduling metrics, including OTS, OTC, OTD, schedule attainment, schedule adherence, capacity utilization, shipment attainment, backlog performance, throughput, and WIP.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve planning accuracy and execution performance.

Leadership and Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop Scheduling and Production Planning personnel.
• Establish scheduling standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Drive cross-functional accountability for schedule performance and planning discipline.
• Support training related to ERP/MRP, Lean Manufacturing, and advanced planning systems.

Compliance and Quality

• Support AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR/EAR, internal audit, and external audit requirements as they relate to planning and scheduling.
• Maintain scheduling integrity and data accuracy within ERP systems.

Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or operations planning.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing planning or scheduling teams.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, space, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of MPS, SIOP/S&OP, capacity planning, demand planning, production control, Lean Manufacturing, and ERP/MRP systems; Epicor preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD.
• MBA or Master's degree.
• Experience with aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, complex assemblies, or metallic manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of advanced planning and scheduling (APS) systems.

Work Environment:

• Primarily works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and production equipment.
• Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials.
• May involve occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations.
