Job DescriptionThe Cloud Solutions Engineer is a customer-facing technical expert responsible for guiding enterprise customers and prospective customers through evaluating and adopting the MiTek Cloud solution.This role is ideal for a cloud or infrastructure professional with hands-on experience designing, deploying, or supporting production environments and enjoys translating technical expertise into business value. The Cloud Solutions Engineer partners closely with Sales, Product Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure customers understand not just what MiTek Cloud does, but why and how it delivers measurable operational impact.The ideal candidate combines their deep cloud infrastructure knowledge with strong communication, collaboration, and consultative skills.Job Responsibilities & RequirementsThis role will work a hybrid schedule based out of our headquarters office in Chesterfield, MO. Responsibilities:Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the customer evaluation and adoption processLead customer discovery conversations to understand customer infrastructure, technical pain points, and business objectivesDeliver technical product demos, presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagementsTranslate complex cloud architecture concepts into clear business outcomes for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPartner with Account Executives on cloud solution strategy to keep deals moving forwardRecommend cloud migration strategies, integration approaches, automation opportunities, and cost optimization pathwaysDevelop high-level architecture diagrams, technical proposals, and solution documentationCollaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to provide field insights and influence product roadmap strategiesMaintain deep understanding of cloud technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapeGuide customers toward MiTek Cloud adoption through integration strategies based on real-world experienceRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting rolesEquivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basisDemonstrated hands-on experience designing, deploying, or supporting cloud infrastructure environments (Azure strongly preferred)Experience supporting or administering SQL Server environments (on-prem or Azure)Experience with desktop virtualization technologies (AVD preferred)Prior accountability for production infrastructure environments, including uptime, reliability, or performanceProven ability to communicate technical concepts credibly with engineering and IT stakeholdersExperience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teamsExperience in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineering, technical consulting, cloud advisory)Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in data center administration, IT operations, or network operations rolesExperience with SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS sales cycles Exposure to cybersecurity principles and ability to address cloud security and compliance concernsExperience supporting enterprise or multi-stakeholder accountsFamiliarity with CI/CD, automation tools, and cloud security best practicesMicrosoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or related certificationAdditional Requirements:20% Travel will be planed in advance and related to job requirements.MiTek Perks:Generous time off including Paid Time Off, 13 annual holidays, and volunteer time offDay One Medical/Rx, Dental and Vision PlansFamily friendly benefits including Paid Caregiver Leave, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption ReimbursementPerformance/Incentive bonusesCareer advancement, training opportunities, Employee Resource Groups, and tuition reimbursementRetirement programs including Matching 401(k) Contributions and Profit Sharing Employer paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability and Life InsurancemyFlexPay partner – allows you to track, manage and access your pay anytimeMiTek is a platform innovator and enabler that exists to transform the building industry with better building solutions.
