Vice President of Talent Technology

The Vice President, Talent Technology will build a modern, scalable ecosystem that improves employee and manager experiences, analytics, and business performance.Your Role on Our Team:Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Talent, this leader owns the global Talent Technology portfolio across Milwaukee Tool, Consumer brands, and TTI. The role defines the strategy, architecture, operating model, governance, standards, and roadmap to scale HR systems, data, and digital experiences.As a Talent Leadership Team member, this leader partners with Talent, Information Technology, Finance, Legal, and business executives to translate strategy into technology priorities that improve efficiency, insight, compliance, and growth. The role leads through others, aligns product, delivery, and support teams, and establishes a unified vision for Talent Technology.You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:Enterprise Talent Technology StrategyDefine and lead the multi-year strategy and global portfolio, aligning technology priorities to growth, productivity, employee experience, data integrity, compliance, and business performance.Connect the vision, roadmap, and architecture standards for scalable HR systems and digital talent experience within North America.Establish Talent Technology as a strategic capability aligned with Talent Business Partners and Centers of Excellence, with clear enterprise versus business or regional standards.Measure outcomes including efficiency, cost to serve, speed to hire, data quality, adoption, self-service, employee experience, and decision speed.Evolve the strategy for emerging platforms, automation, and AI-enabled talent solutions.Governance, Platforms, and Operating ModelLead portfolio management and governance, including decision rights, intake, prioritization, service levels, release standards, resources, investments, and accountability.Create a scalable operating model balancing enterprise consistency with business needs across Milwaukee Tool, Consumer brands, and TTI.Own the HCM, talent acquisition, learning, performance, compensation, time and attendance, and workforce planning ecosystem, ensuring platforms are stable, secure, compliant, integrated, and fit for purpose.Partner with IT, Security, Legal, and Privacy on data protection, access, compliance, integration, and architecture.Data, Analytics, AI, and ImpactPartner with IT to strengthen the people data foundation through standards, governance, master data, reporting, dashboards, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.Use workforce data, business indicators, and stakeholder feedback to prioritize investments and improve access, scalability, personalization, and consistency.Define measures beyond uptime and ticket volume, including adoption, efficiency, data quality, and business impact; provide executives with clear reporting on performance, priorities, risks, and opportunities.Build a product and continuous-improvement mindset focused on practical, high-quality employee, manager, and candidate experiences.Team Leadership and Organizational CapabilityBuild and develop a high-performing Talent Technology organization grounded in accountability, innovation, business partnership, and operational excellence.Lead through other leaders with clear roles, decision rights, expectations, and accountability.Develop Director and Manager-level leaders who can scale the function, influence partners, deliver quality solutions, and lead change.Perform other duties as assigned.The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, Organizational Development, or related field.12+ years of progressive Talent/HR Technology, HRIS, People Analytics, Enterprise Systems, Digital Product Management, or related experience.Senior leadership experience leading through other leaders and managing multi-layered teams.Proven success defining and executing enterprise or multi-business HR technology, systems transformation, data, or digital experience strategies.Strong business acumen and ability to influence executives, connect investments to strategy and performance, and drive change in a complex, high-growth matrix.Experience building scalable operating models, governance, architecture, data standards, integrations, analytics, product practices, vendor partnerships, and measurement systems.Effective partnership with Talent Centers of Excellence, Talent Business Partners, IT, Security, Legal, Finance, and business leaders.Demonstrated use of data and business insight to prioritize work, measure impact, and improve outcomes.Proven experience developing leaders, building high-performing teams, and strengthening succession and bench depth.Strong executive communication skills; ability to simplify complexity, frame recommendations, and influence decisions.Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.This role has an in office requirement and is based in Milwaukee, WIOther TOOLS we prefer you to have:Talent technology leadership in a manufacturing, consumer products, industrial, engineering, commercial, retail, field sales, or product-driven organization.Experience across multiple brands, business units, regions, or operating models.Experience transforming an HR technology, HRIS, people analytics, or digital talent function at scale, including large HCM implementations or global consolidations.Experience with talent acquisition, learning, performance, compensation, workforce planning, and AI-enabled tools.Experience linking technology to job architecture, career pathways, competencies, and workforce planning.Experience supporting multilingual or global organizations is preferredWhy This Role Matters:The Vice President, Talent Technology is a force multiplier for growth.
