Peery Highway, Richlands, VA 24641, United States Start Date: 05/01/2026 Duration: Ongoing coverage, with specific date boosts from May 18–22, 2026 Shift: Combination of outpatient clinic days and endoscopy suite procedures; night call included Hours/Week: Flexible based on schedule Employment Type: Contract (W-2 position) Licenses/Certifications: Valid medical license in Virginia, DEA as applicable, ACLS/BLS preferred Experience: 2+ years in internal medicine, gastroenterology, or similar specialty, with procedural experience in endoscopy Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (please note the pay is based on specific contract details) Benefits: Competitive pay package Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time per applicable laws Travel, licensure, certification, and other reimbursements when applicable Reimbursement for credentialing and onboarding fees (if applicable) What You’ll Do Perform outpatient consultations for gastroenterology patients Conduct procedures in the Endoscopy Suite on scheduled days Hospital rounds and manage consults during off days, including night call shifts Collaborate with healthcare team to develop treatment plans Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner Maintain compliance with all hospital and legal requirements Provide education and support to patients and their families What You Need Required: Valid medical license in Virginia Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal medicine and gastroenterology Procedural experience in endoscopy suites Ability to participate in night call duties Preferred: ACLS/BLS certifications Hospital-based or outpatient clinic experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills About the Assignment Join a respected healthcare facility committed to delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.
