Commercial Lightning Supervisor – Lead Field Operations & Commercial Lightning Protection Installations

Job Overview:

• Schedule: Full Time (Includes travel and overnight stays)

The Opportunity

You will serve as a key field leader driving the safe and accurate installation of commercial lightning protection and grounding systems. This role allows you to lead by example, direct daily jobsite operations, and directly mentor crew members looking to grow their careers. You will take ownership of field productivity and project execution while representing a company that values care, commitment, and adaptability.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Lead and organize daily jobsite installation activities to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Supervise, train, and develop field installers to build their technical skills and advance within the organization.
• Execute system installations and conduct ground resistance testing according to project specifications and UL96A/NFPA780 standards.
• Perform site walkthroughs and maintain clear, professional communication with site contacts, project managers, and area managers.
• Enforce strict safety protocols, safety checks, and proper equipment usage across all assigned jobsite operations.
• Generate and submit daily progress reports, work orders, photos, and accurate as-built drawings prior to project closeouts.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of related commercial installation or field operations experience.
• Hands-on experience with commercial lightning protection installation 
• Basic working knowledge of national lightning protection and grounding standards, including UL96A and NFPA780.
• Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and interpret blueprints, system layouts, and technical drawings.
• Proficient operating jobsite tools and machinery, including ladders, lifts, trenchers, and power tools at heights.
• Willingness and ability to travel outside 30 miles of the primary job location up to 30% of the time, including overnight stays.
• Active driving license or Real ID (or able to obtain Real ID)
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Active OSHA 30 and 24-Hour Fall Protection certifications.
• A passing score on the Journeyman 1 exam.
• Active certifications in Boom/Aerial Lift, EM385 Fall Protection, and First Aid/CPR.
