Registered Nurse - Acute Surgery Unit

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, varying from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Acute Surgery Unit will focus on providing care for surgical patients, including those undergoing general surgery, colorectal procedures, bariatric, and plastic surgery cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to surgical patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as required.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar specialty.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required.

Holiday Work Requirements

MUST work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
