Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care UnitAmerican TravelerOdessa, Texas, United StatesAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Start date: 2026-10-20$3,055.52/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2+ years of experience and TX or compact RN licensure.DetailsNewly opened PCU supporting MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care patient populations, including anticipated ICU patientsFloat to MS/Tele, PCU, or critical care areas as needed during low censusMS/Tele ratios of 6:1; Critical Care ratios of 2:1, with 1:4 general patient ratio experience preferredNight shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM13-week assignmentRequirementsActive TX or compact RN license requiredMinimum 2 years of recent RN experience requiredCurrent certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and TNCC/TCAR (may be obtained within 30 days of start if not already held)Cerner charting experience requiredPrior travel nursing experience requiredTeaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferredSkilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, and blood product administrationExperience with ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway management preferredNeuro/psych skills such as EVD, lumbar drain, and post-TPA care preferredCardiovascular skills including pacemaker management, TAVR, and post-cardiac surgery care preferredAdditional InformationProvide high-level PCU or ICU-level nursing care in a fast-paced progressive care settingFacility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellationCandidates should avoid substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products, prior to arrivalMust reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not acceptedTwo professional references from supervisors within the last 3 years required for considerationCertifications must be current and attached to the candidate profile for considerationHours per week: 48Hours per shift: 12
