A Day in This Role

Picture stepping onto the production floor as the hum of high-speed coater lines comes to life. You start by reviewing overnight performance, then move straight into setting up and fine‑tuning equipment for the day’s run. A quality concern pops up—you diagnose the mechanical root cause, make rapid adjustments, document the fix, and return the line to peak performance. Throughout the shift, you complete precision measurements (down to 0.0010"), coordinate with quality inspectors, and keep accurate production, efficiency, and maintenance records. Before shift change, you mentor a teammate on a new changeover technique and finish by 5S‑ing your area.

What You’ll Take On

• Operate, set up, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot high‑speed coater lines
• Execute equipment changeovers, repairs, preventive maintenance, and wash‑ups
• Diagnose mechanical and product quality issues; return equipment to service quickly
• Perform and document quality checks and measurements
• Partner with quality inspectors to ensure standards are consistently achieved
• Respond immediately to production and quality concerns
• Use precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, vernier calipers, gauges) to maintain close tolerances to 0.0010"
• Maintain production, quality, efficiency, and maintenance records
• Contribute to continuous improvement for safety, quality, cost, and productivity
• Assist with training and mentoring team members
• Keep a clean, organized workspace using 5S principles
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

What You Bring

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability
• Ability to pass a mechanical skills assessment
• Hands‑on experience using hand/power tools, micrometers, dial indicators, vernier calipers, and precision gauges
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, specifications, and technical documentation
• Ability to provide standard hand tools required for the job
