Job Title: Security Service Technician - New Haven, CT (Yale University Project)


Location: New Haven, CT


Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (occasional OT + possible on-call)


Pay Rate : $37 / hour

Position Overview


Loyal Source is seeking an experienced Security Service Technician to support a large, campus-wide service and inspection project across Yale University . This role is ideal for a technician with strong troubleshooting skills, a service-first mindset, and the ability to work independently across a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Security system troubleshooting - Diagnose issues with access control, CCTV, intrusion, and related low-voltage systems
• System inspections - Perform routine and scheduled inspections to ensure system health and compliance
• Repairs & adjustments - Restore system functionality and optimize performance
• Campus-wide service support - Work across multiple Yale buildings and facilities
• Documentation & reporting - Maintain accurate service logs, inspection reports, and device records

Required Qualifications

• Must hold one of the following Connecticut Low Voltage Licenses:
• L5, L6, C5, or C6
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a security service or installation technician
• Strong background in troubleshooting , diagnostics, and system inspections
• Solid understanding of low-voltage wiring, terminations, and device functionality

Work Environment
This is a high-visibility, long-term service role supporting Yale University's security infrastructure. You'll work across multiple buildings, collaborate with campus facilities teams, and ensure critical systems remain operational and compliant.
