Senior Accessibility Specialist

As a remote full-time Senior Accessibility Specialist, the candidate will lead accessibility initiatives across product teams, ensuring the integration of accessibility throughout the product lifecycle while promoting inclusive design and compliance with Section 508 and WCAG standards. Key responsibilities Serve as the accessibility lead for Agile product teams, integrating accessibility into all phases of product development Conduct accessibility evaluations and provide actionable recommendations for improvement based on compliance standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of accessibility and mentor team members on best practices Required qualifications 7+ years of experience in digital accessibility and Section 508 compliance Strong expertise in WCAG 2.2, ARIA, and accessible user experience principles Experience with accessibility evaluation tools such as Axe DevTools, JAWS, and NVDA Proficiency in reviewing accessible designs in Figma and working within Agile environments DHS Trusted Tester certification and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
