Pharmacy Technician

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is looking for a Pharmacy Technician for our client in Houston, TX !

Type: 3-month contract, with potential for extension

Pay: $23 - $ 25.65/hr

Location: Houston, TX 77053


Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm


Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician:

• Accurately pick, pack, and process outgoing pharmacy orders in accordance with established procedures and local State Board of Pharmacy

• Adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to packaging medication and supplies, ensuring the integrity of the product for our patients.

• Perform various warehouse functions such as emptying trash, assembling boxes, cleaning work area, processing and cleaning returned equipment etc

• May also assist with inventory duties, including proper storage and restocking of medication and supplies, receiving, and unpacking vendor shipments, and performing counts of physical inventory

• May also support administrative tasks for the Pharmacy, such as scanning documents

• Create or fix shipping labels as needed and bring packages to shipping, mail, and courier as needed.

• Communicate with the Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacy Supervisor regarding all patient questions and/or issues

• Adhere to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations and Confidentiality and Code of Conduct.

Qualifications for the Pharmacy Technician:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Texas

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification

• 1+ year experience as a Pharmacy Technician

• Expected to stand for about 75% of the workday and expected to lift approximately 25lbs.
