About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President Director of Commercial Credit to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manager-level credit administration of the commercial portfolio, with a focus on larger and more complex credits. This role involves overseeing a team of credit analysts, ensuring adherence to the company's credit philosophy and underwriting standards, and playing a key role in strategic planning and special projects. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader, capable of bringing consistency to credit underwriting and structuring to meet commercial business needs. They should be adept at making recommendations for improvements in the credit function, including the adoption of new technology and processes, and be experienced in setting acceptable risk tolerance levels. The role also requires the ability to provide guidance in problem loan situations, monitor risk trends, and manage the training and development of credit staff. Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a post-graduate degree or professional certification. A minimum of 10 years' experience in credit analysis, with at least 5 years in a management role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agriculture and agribusiness, as well as experience with loan structuring, accounting standards, banking regulations, and credit practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credit analysis software is essential. The role demands a proven leader with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to build and manage successful teams. The candidate should be adept at problem-solving, influencing others, and be a self-starter with a creative approach to their work.
