This role offers the flexibility of remote work while focusing specifically on school populations. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create an integrated support system for students. The remote setting allows for adaptability in conducting sessions either virtually via telehealth platforms or in coordination with school staff, ensuring that students receive the support they need in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating group and individual therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health issues affecting students.
\n
• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to identify students' needs, develop appropriate treatment plans, and ensure ongoing progress monitoring.
\n
• Managing the complete discharge planning from the day of admission, which includes ensuring students understand their coping strategies and have a solid transition plan in place.
\n
• Establishing and confirming discharge appointments with both students and their families, ensuring continuity of care upon discharge.
\n
• Collaborating with the Utilization Review Department to facilitate authorization for services and address billing inquiries effectively.
\n
• Communicating with external referral sources and outpatient providers to ensure seamless transitions and ongoing support for students.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention and management during sessions to support students in distress.
\n
• Contributing to mental health outreach programs within the school community to promote mental health awareness.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services, including initial assessments and ongoing clinical notes, in compliance with licensing requirements.
\n
• Assisting with peer support or additional clinical duties as needed to ensure the effectiveness of the clinical team.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on school-aged children and adolescents who may be experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related concerns. You will be dedicated to providing culturally competent care and ensuring that each student feels safe and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.

• Current, independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in conducting individual and group therapy sessions with children and adolescents.

• Strong understanding of relevant mental health policies and best practices in a school setting.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and Office 365 to effectively document and manage client information.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse student populations and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
