Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM

Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years

Certifications/Requirements:

• General Certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS
• Nursing Certifications: CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Psych Services department plays a vital role in patient care, responsible for both direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process across all assigned areas. This position involves the development and periodic updating of individualized, interdisciplinary care plans, evaluating patient outcomes, and identifying available resources for patients.

The Crisis Psychiatric Unit provides care to patients aged 5 and older with various psychiatric conditions, including major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, and psychotic disorders. Additionally, the unit caters to patients requesting or needing detoxification services.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• 2-Year Associate's degree required
• Valid State of Maine RN license
• BLS Certification required
• CPI training must be current prior to start

Experience:

• At least 1 year of previous experience in mental health nursing required

Other Skills Required:

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Team player with the ability to manage stress and make decisions under pressure
• Flexibility to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week

Holiday coverage is required.
