LPN/Licensed Practical Nurse: FT with sign-on bonus

Position is located in Thornwood, NY. 1st and 2nd shift opportunities available. Join, stay, and grow with Benchmark. Responsibilities Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status. Observe and report any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations. Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants. Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job. Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case management process. Balance service demands with supporting resident independence. Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation and report to appropriate sources per state regulations. Respond to emergencies and personal emergency alerts and know when to call for backup. Requirements Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification. Graduate of an approved LPN program per state requirements. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse (preferred).
