About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will be the senior executive responsible for the day-to-day operational performance, translating organizational strategy into operational excellence across various functions. This includes finance, clinic operations, information technology, revenue cycle, business development, and facilities management. The successful candidate will be expected to partner with the CEO and Board to execute the strategic vision, drive operational performance, and lead financial planning and growth strategies. Building strong partnerships with physician leaders, university stakeholders, and health system partners is also a key aspect of the role. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have an advanced degree (MD, MBA, MHA, or related field) and a minimum of 10 years' progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, with at least 7 years in a senior executive role within a healthcare organization. The role requires a proven track record in multi-specialty physician group operations, financial management, and driving organizational growth and transformation. Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and performance management is essential, as is the ability to lead effectively in complex, matrixed organizations. The ideal candidate will have experience in an academic medical center or similar setting and a deep understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements.
