We are looking for a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to join Kaiser Aluminum in Franklin Tennessee at our corporate office! You will be responsible for financial analysis for a group of manufacturing plants of a publicly traded aluminum manufacturing company. What you will work on: Business & financial support for a group of facilities Capital project financial analysis Sensitivity analysis of the impact of key variables on financial results Analysis of historical financial results, focused on analysis of variances Development of product standard costs Participation on cross-functional teams on high-profile projects Other duties as may be assigned. What you will bring to the role: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or engineering/technical degree. MBA with a concentration in finance strongly preferred. 5-10 years of financial experience. Line management / operational background highly desirable. Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, managers, outside advisors and senior management. CMA helpful, but not required. Experience with Lean or Six Sigma concepts is also highly desirable. In office position based out of our corporate office in Franklin TN when not traveling with anticipated travel of approximately 50% travel. Cost Accounting Strong standard cost accounting background in a manufacturing environment, including throughput, activity-based costing and TOC accounting understanding Process costing background, process mapping Variance analysis: earned versus actual, consumption versus pricing variances, etc Outstanding, proven analytical capabilities Excellent financial modeling skills, including integrated 3-statement models Knowledge and understanding of finance theory Ability to read and understand financial statements and footnotes Ability to correctly apply accounting principles to projected or pro forma financial models General understanding of hedging and derivative financial instruments Leadership Provide financial partnering to VP - Operations, plant management and plant controller Demonstrate professionalism and strong team skills Sought out for counsel and advice from peers and executives Have excellent written & verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from technicians to senior management Ability to apply strategic thinking to tactical activities. Must be willing to undertake deep data dives, but still see big picture Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
