Job Duties
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology is recruiting for a part time 0.5 Medical Secretary to work in our busy Radiation Therapy Department located within Mercy Specialty Center in Coon Rapids and occasionally cover at our Unity clinic in Fridley. This clinic has 2 Secretaries who work together at the front desk. The ability to flex up is important, but the regular schedule will be every Tuesday and Friday and every other Monday 8:00-4:00 to stay late occasionally if patients are still in the clinic. During training the hours will be full time or close to full time.
Duties include greeting and registering patients, complex appointment scheduling, patient chart prep, answering phones and assisting clinic personnel with a variety of administrative and ordering tasks.

Minimum Experience Required
Requirements include:
Previous healthcare, hospital or clinic experience is required. Medical terminology is a plus.
Experience gathering previous medical records is also a plus.
Strong computer skills and experience with EPIC or other EMR software is given first preference.
Experience using Teams messaging is also beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
Reliable attendance is a must.
Annual flu vaccine required or must wear a mask during flu season to protect the health and safety of our patients.
