Marketing Communications Specialist

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Content development

• Campaigns: Develop campaigns and content in support of the brand narrative that highlight strategic business products and themes;
• Static content: Create and execute organic social media content by writing copy plus designing graphics that is consistent and aligns with brand voice. Optimize picture and carousel content to improve search visibility and audience engagement with an eye to search engines and generative AI search optimization;
• Video creation: Create in-house short 30-second to 2 minute videos from stock video content and imagery. In collaboration with Brand Communications Manager, execute filming and edit videos live from tradeshows as well as other video projects as they come up.

Social media and website content

• Channel management: Contribute to, manage, and provide weekly updates on the editorial calendars for social media accounts. Manage content release on corporate social media accounts, including monitoring timing, comments, and replying back when appropriate;
• Analytics and reporting: Create, manage and document UTM (urchin tracking module) links to support effective campaign metric tracking. Track performance metrics (engagement rate, reach, etc.) to assess the effectiveness of social media strategies;
• Social listening:Develop strategy, identify potential tools to support social listening efforts to monitor mentions, industry trends, and issues as they arise. Provide insights and recommendations based on social listening data;
• Social media standards: Implement global social media standards for business marketing colleagues and employees. Serve as a champion on social media content creation across the organization;
• Manage web content:Write and edit copy for website and the Rousselot blog, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with brand voice with an eye to search engines and generative AI search optimization.

Brand activations

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a select group of conferences, tradeshow events, and specialty activations, for example customer innovation days and PR events with trade media;

• Manage all event logistics including venue coordination, timelines, staffing, travel, inventory, booth setup, displays, samples, customer dinners, registrations, etc.;

• Attend events as the on-site lead, ensuring smooth execution and a high standard of brand presentation.

Co-branding

• Program Management: Manage the co-branding portal, process and monitor customers looking to enter the process; liaise with IT on updates as necessary;

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, QA, Legal, and Business Development teams to process customer applicants, manage approvals, update agreements, and support co-branding activities;

• Co-branded Customer Relations: Prepare and send trademark agreements to customers, answer contractual questions with support from legal, handle customer inquiries, and conduct training for regions and customers;

• Marketing & Brand Support: Receive and evaluate marketing requests, manage label approval and feedback rounds, support campaigns with co-branding customers, and evaluate reputational risks / report to leadership as they arise;

• Content & Systems Maintenance: Update and archive agreements on SharePoint, add product information to the company website, and maintain and update the co-branding toolkit, gaining necessary approvals from internal teams.

Aligning internal colleagues to build brand equity

• Digital transformation: Champions the shift toward digital-first approaches that expand reach beyond traditional events. Train teams and coach colleagues to deliver digital excellence;
• Intranet: In partnership with Brand Communications Manager, execute own Rousselot intranet strategy and deliver market-oriented content including customer visits and wins, events, innovation, and newly launched / co-branded customer products;
• Collaborate with internal and external teams: Work cross-functionally, across departments and brands, to develop engaging blogs and social media content, ensuring consistent, cohesive messaging;
• Promote positive company culture: by contributing and by creating and distributing content that highlights company values and mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, digital media or related discipline;
• Five years of experience in journalism, social media content and/or management, social listening, digital marketing, or a related field;
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, and proficiency in AP Style;
• Strong experience using and managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.);
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong analytical skills to interpret social media and social listening metrics to make data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior journalistic experience;
• Knowledge of SEO, AI SEO/GEO content marketing strategies and social listening techniques;
• Experience managing and maintaining websites and website performance optimization and analytics;
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
