Maintenance Technician (Class A) 2nd & 3rd shift - (Automotive Manufacturing)

Maintenance TechnicianWe have two positions open. One is for 2nd shift (3:15 - 11:45 p.m.). One is for 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.). Must be able to train on 1st shift a minimum of 30 days.The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.FunctionsResponsible for diagnosing and repairing miscellaneous manufacturing equipment with little or no support neededRolling toolbox & knowledge of tool room equipmentRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceDisassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairsExamines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wearRepairs, replaces, adjust, and align components of machinery and equipmentRuns repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairsMaintains accurate records of maintenance work performed and inventoryAble to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issuesProvides guidance to employees in the Maintenance DepartmentCompetenciesAccountabilityAdaptabilityAnalytical thinkingAttention to detailCommunicationCreativityDecision makingFocus on qualityInitiativeIntegrityPlanning and organizingProblem solvingResults-orientedSafety-consciousTeamwork and collaborationTechnical expertiseTime managementWriting skillsUnderstand and implement Drake Driven Core Values into everyday work habits.RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GEDMaintenance Technician Certification is a plusPrevious work experience as a Machinist is a plusMust have own tools and toolbox to be left at the shopAbility to read blueprints, schematics and manualsAbility to weld tig/migHands on experience with different manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.)Proficient with Outlook - Plex is a plusExtensive experience of electrical & hydraulic knowledgeExtensive experience with diagnosing and repairing issues with CNC's lathes + MillsExtensive experience with APC repairExtensive knowledge and understanding of CNC controlsExperience with Fanuc Robots is a plusAbility to work Independently or with othersThe Benefits of Working With Us!
